Andandi Flamenco
Andandi Flamenco group promises a thrilling show with outstanding flamenco dancer Federico Núñez and singer Carlos Lobo, who will be flying in from Seville to join outstanding guitarist Ramón Ruíz and cajón player Seb Ruíz.
Andandi Flamenco takes its name from a track on Ramón’s Flamenco Havana CD. It's a Sevillian colloquialism for getting up and going for a walk or a dance!
Federico is a young flamenco dancer in huge demand in Spain and a member of the prestigious Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía. He also works with the Úrsula López Company and appeared in the acclaimed Comedia Sin Título show at this year’s Seville Flamenco Bienialle festival. He previously played the part of Antonio in the 100th anniversary show dedicated to the great legend of flamenco dance.
Federico began his career in his native Argentina, and since moving to Spain, he has been a part of numerous prominent dance companies, including Israel and Pastora Galván. Now based in Seville, he has been a featured artist at Torres Macarena and other major flamenco tablao venues. He represented Spain in the cultural expo in Dubai and has toured the world with various flamenco groups.
Seville-based flamenco singer Carlos trained in Chile, France, and Spain, and also teaches flamenco cante. He has toured extensively in Canada, France, and the UK with many flamenco groups.
Ramón is the UK’s leading flamenco guitarist. Born in Granada, he received his training in Seville's renowned flamenco tablao, Los Gallos, where he trained alongside a generation of world-famous flamenco artists. He last performed here in March 2024 alongside the exciting young Sevillian dancer Rebeca Ortega. As a regular guest on BBC Radio 3, he organizes the annual Castanights at London’s Jazz Cafe.
Ramón recently recorded his third album, Calle Lunga, at Abbey Road Studios, which features his original compositions and arrangements.
Sebastián is a young flamenco percussionist who has appeared at Castanights with his father, as well as many other major venues.
